Review: 18 wheelers

We booked with a broker who contracted the job out to these guys. They never mentioned to us that the delivery would be coming on an 18 wheeler and they didn’t bother asking us if that would be a problem. They show up after rescheduling 5 times with us, which we were nice about, accommodated them. When they show up, they realize they cannot come into our neighborhood and tell us they are going to charge us an extra $400 to deliver it. Why did you pick up a job you can’t complete? Your job is literally to move it from A to B. Would have taken you two seconds to ask us if this was going to be an issue or to look at the location on Google. Instead you wasted your driver’s time and ours. But it’s our fault because it is in tiny print somewhere on an agreement that they won’t email or print out for you. It’s on a tablet that they hand to you to sign for when they pick up. Most moving companies will ask you about gates, codes, steps, things that would inhibit them being able to deliver. I’m also a reasonable person and would have worked with them to figure something out if they had asked in advance. But they show up at 4:30 PM and it’s your problem to figure out. Could have saved us all time and grief with 20 seconds of research or a simple question. Instead they only asked us if we had a driveway??
